This position is currently shared with Fancy Gap Elementary School and Laurel Elementary School, and is expected to begin on January 4th, 2027. Our first PTSO Meeting will be held tomorrow night (Thursday, September 10th) at 6:00 pm in the Library. We will discuss Fall Festival, and set plans for this year. We would love to have you join us!

GBES parents - Carroll County schools are now closed due to power outages at other schools. We will let you know as soon as we have a new date for pictures.

Carroll County Public Schools will be closed Friday, September 4th and Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. Have a wonderful break, and we will see you on Tuesday, September 8th!

Congratulations to our August Gators of the Month! In August, we focused on kindness. Join us in September as we focus on Respect. Great job, Gators!!!

We will be celebrating "College Colors Day" on Thursday, September 3rd. Wear your favorite team's gear, or the gear of the school you want to attend when you grow up. Don't have a favorite college? Pro attire is also fine, and Gator spirit wear is always welcome!

We successfully completed our second lockdown drill of the year at 12:30 this afternoon in accordance with state law and school policy. State law dictates that we must complete two lockdown drills within the first 20 days of school. Also per state law, Kindergarten and Pre-K students did not participate. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school at (276)398-2493. Thank you!

Tomorrow is the first day of school! We are excited to see all of our kids again. Please remember that only parents of PK and K students may walk their children to class tomorrow. If you choose to do this, please park in the parking lot as opposed to stopping in the drop off line. This option is only available tomorrow, and normal drop off procedures will begin for all students on Monday, August 10th.

Additionally, for those of you with bus riders, please be aware that busses may be slightly delayed tomorrow afternoon as we ensure that all students are on the correct bus and drivers are aware of addresses. We will send out a separate message if busses are delayed in departing GBES by more than 10 minutes (typical departure time is around 3:50).

Open house is today from 12-6. We can't wait to see you! Support will be available in the tech lab for those of you that still need to complete online registration.
